Who We Are
Our Story
of 1 in 26

Our History
1 in 26 Athlete Foundation is a registered 501c3 and our mission is to cultivate awareness through athletic events and to raise funds for medical treatments, and therapies for those living with epilepsy. We strive to give an opportunity to embrace who they are and to show off their skill and talent.
Their passion and energy is focused toward a common goal: to overcome a challenge, to defeat an opponent, and to WIN!
Our Vision
The initiative combines seizure and epilepsy awareness to different arenas of sports through participation by athletes of all ages and skill levels. Involvement in sports at any level increases self-esteem, encourages independence and enhances quality of life. We strive to create an environment for that 1 in 26 Athlete, where epilepsy is welcomed and appreciated, and an avenue for family and friends to support their loved ones. Events in athletics give us a great opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals who are passionate about a sport or team.
Our Team
By building partnerships with athletes, community leaders, and individuals living with or supporting others living with epilepsy, we create Team 26. The 1 in 26 Athlete encourages that anyone and everyone, regardless of athletic talent, can help to raise awareness about seizures. All athletes goal is to help people with epilepsy and seizures experience every aspect that life has to offer. All of the athletes involved – despite if they have epilepsy or love someone with seizures – are motivators and shining examples for us all. Each member of our team is enthusiastic and faithful to stopping seizures and “SUDEP”, discovering a cure, and overcoming the challenges life has put in front of them.
